The Village of Pinehurst and Pinehurst Business Partners are inviting residents and visitors to make the most of August by supporting local businesses during August Fridays, a month-long promotion highlighting shopping, dining and community activities throughout the Village!

Each Friday in August, participating businesses will feature sidewalk sales, special promotions and unique shopping opportunities while visitors enjoy events taking place across the Village. Participating businesses will display sidewalk sale merchandise during business hours, creating an inviting atmosphere for visitors to stroll through the Village and discover locally owned boutiques, award-winning restaurants and one-of-a-kind experiences!

As an added treat, visitors can stop by the Village Welcome Center, located at 90 Cherokee Road, (inside the Theatre Building), between 10AM and 4PM to pick up a treat card while supplies last. The treat card can be redeemed at CCups Cupcakery, located at 105 Cherokee Road, for a cupcake, brownie or cake pop, making it the perfect excuse to explore downtown Pinehurst.

“August Fridays is a great opportunity to discover something new while supporting the small businesses that help make Pinehurst such a special place,” said Village Manager Doug Willardson.”Whether you’re shopping, dining with friends or attending one of the featured activities, we hope everyone will spend time exploring all our local businesses have to offer.”

Featured free activities include:

• August 7th & 28th: Outdoor Yoga Flow at Tufts Memorial Park at 9AM
• August 14th: Live After 5 at the Village Arboretum from 5:15PM-9PM
• August 21st: Summer craft activity at Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives from 10AM-2PM
