Buttercream Frosting Class

Join for a Buttercream Frosting Class at Purple Thistle Kitchen & Co. on Thursday, October 8th at 6PM. Forget royal icing! Traditional cookie decorating classes often use royal icing, but we’re taking a different—and delicious—approach with buttercream frosting. Buttercream tastes amazing, but it behaves differently than royal icing, so you’ll learn a different set of decorating techniques. Lauren will walk you through the basics of working with buttercream, piping techniques, and how to create beautiful designs while keeping things fun and approachable.
You’ll decorate three cookies during the class:

⭕ Round — your chance to freestyle and create your own design!
Your $35 ticket includes:
-Hands-on buttercream decorating instruction with Lauren
-Three cookies to decorate
-A printed buttercream guide, including Lauren’s buttercream frosting recipe
-Your choice of one cookie cutter to take home
-There will also be some optional decorating supplies available for purchase if you’d like to continue practicing your new skills at home.
Children 12+ are welcome! No previous decorating experience is necessary. Come ready to learn some new techniques, play with frosting, and have fun creating your own cookies!
