The Community Connects Series is back with an Alternative Academic Solutions Seminar. Join for an informative and engaging discussion designed to help parents, guardians, educators, and community members explore the wide range of educational opportunities available for students in Moore County.
Led by Sherilla Horton of Genius Unlocked, this seminar will provide valuable insight into alternative academic pathways, including homeschooling, virtual and online learning programs, after-school educational support, tutoring resources, and specialized learning environments. Participants will learn how to identify the educational approach that best fits their child’s unique strengths, learning style, and academic needs while gaining practical tools, resources, and local connections to support student success.
The event takes place on Saturday, June 27th, from 6PM-8PM at the West Southern Pines Cultural Arts Center. Whether your child is thriving in a traditional classroom or seeking a different path, this session will empower families with the knowledge needed to make informed educational decisions and unlock every student’s full potential.
