The Lung Bus, funded in part by The Foundation of FirstHealth, offers potentially life-saving lung cancer screenings for eligible individuals.

November 13th: FirstHealth Family Medicine – Carthage (304 Saunders Street, Carthage, NC 28327)

To qualify, participants must meet all of the following criteria:
– Be between the ages of 50 and 80
– Be a current smoker or have quit within the past 15 years
– Have a 20-pack-year smoking history
– Not have any health condition that limits life expectancy or the ability to undergo surgery if cancer is detected

Detecting lung cancer early could save your life and the lung cancer screening bus is coming to your community. This mobile lung cancer screening unit is a mobile imaging system that allows us to take low-dose CT lung screening technology into our communities. Offering imaging services outside the hospital will help us reach individuals who may not have access or the opportunity to get this scan otherwise.

Complete the form to see if you qualify for a lung cancer screening. Most commercial insurances, Medicare and Medicaid cover the screening for those who meet the criteria.
