Flutterby Festival 2026

Celebrate butterflies and other pollinators at the annual Flutterby Festival on Saturday, September 26th, from 11:00AM-2:00PM, held rain or shine at the Village Arboretum in Pinehurst! Presented by the Village Heritage Foundation and the Village of Pinehurst, this free, family-friendly event focuses on pollinator habitats and monarch butterfly conservation.
Highlights include:
-Interacting with and feeding hundreds of newly emerged monarch butterflies inside the giant Magical Monarch Tents
-Participating in tagging and releasing adult monarch butterflies into the garden to track their migration to Mexico
-Touring the 10,000-square-foot Native Pollinator Garden and Pollinator Pavilion
-Enjoying butterfly arts and crafts
-Learning about native plants, birds, bees, and how to create a backyard pollinator garden
-Purchasing native pollinator plants
-Local food trucks will be on site as well with refreshments available for purchase.
While admission is free, tickets are required for each person in a group. Dogs are welcome on a leash, but they are not permitted inside exhibit tents or the monarch tagging area.
