Southern Pines Parks & Recreation is hosting a free educational session titled “Let’s Talk About It-Funeral Planning” for adults 18 and older on Wednesday, May 27th, from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the E.S. Douglass Community Center in Southern Pines. The event features guest speaker Tanjaneca Dixon, a licensed funeral director from Pines Funerals.

Attendees will learn about immediate steps to take following a death, social security notifications, funeral versus cremation costs, and preneed planning. The session includes handouts and a Q&A period, and those interested can scan the QR code on the flyer or call 910-692-7376 for more information.
