Be part of the buzz—literally! Join the Sandhills Community College Landscape Gardening, Horticultural Society, & Horticultural Gardens for the Great Southeast Pollinator Census 2026! This Citizen Science Project is led by the University of Georgia as we count pollinators right here in the Gardens. Alongside participants across the Southeast, you’ll help gather important data that supports pollinator conservation.
Dates: Friday, August 21st & Saturday, August 22nd | 9AM-11AM
You’ll learn:
How to identify different pollinators
Why they matter for food production
How your observations support real research
Come get involved, learn something new, and help protect the pollinators we all depend on! This event is free for everyone, but please register ahead of time so we know how many counters to expect!
