In this hands-on hand-building pottery class, instructor Beth Roy will guide you through creating your own ceramic baking dish, complete with a sweet carved bird detail that makes this piece as decorative as it is functional. You’ll learn hand-building techniques while adding your own personal touches and creativity to your dish.

Whether you use it for baking your favorite casserole, serving a side dish, or simply displaying it in your kitchen, this adorable bird-topped baking dish is sure to become a favorite!

Perfect for beginners and experienced clay artists alike.

After class, Beth will carefully dry, kiln fire, glaze, and kiln fire your work again. Finished items will be ready for pickup about 4 weeks after class, depending on drying time and humidity. We’ll notify you when it’s ready!

All materials, tools, instruction, one glaze color selection, two kiln firings and expert instruction are included.

• Please note: ARTworks Vass is home to friendly gallery/studio cats who may be present during classes and events. 🐾
• Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
• Children under age 14 may join this class if a responsible adult also registers to attend and participate with them.
• Registration allows for 1 person per class. Only those who have registered may participate.
• Registrations are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
• Class starts promptly, so be sure to arrive on time.
• At ARTworks Vass, you’re always welcome to bring your own Nibbles and Sips to class.
• You will be notified when your project is ready to pick up.  We will hold it for 90 days with monthly notifications by text or phone. If you haven’t requested an extension or picked up your work within 90 days, your project will be disposed of at the gallery’s discretion.
