Holiday Kitchen Series: Classic Candy Making Class

There’s something special about homemade candy during the holidays — and Rhonda McDonnell is ready to share some of her family’s favorite recipes and techniques! Join at Purple Thistle Kitchen & Co. on Saturday, October 24th at 4PM for a fun, demonstration-style candy-making class featuring four classic treats:
- English Toffee
- My Mom’s Peanut Brittle
- Pistachio-Honey Toffee
- Tamiko’s Famous Caramels
Rhonda will walk us through the candy-making process, sharing tips and techniques along the way. And because this is a candy class, there will be plenty of sampling!
Rhonda is an English professor, writer, and editor, but her real love comes from cooking, baking, and candy making. She learned to make candy from her mother, who learned from hers, and she loves how a few simple ingredients can turn into something wonderful to share or give as a gift.
