Aberdeen First Baptist invites the community to observe the National Day of Prayer with a self-guided prayer event on Thursday, May 7, from 3:30PM-6:30PM. Participants are welcome to come and go as their schedules permit, and as shown in image_3d2a1b.jpg, the session will be held in the church sanctuary.

This annual tradition, established in Washington D.C. in 1983 and officially recognized by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 for the first Thursday in May, provides an opportunity for many to gather and pray for the nation and local communities.

To support this time of reflection, attendees will receive a printed guide designed to foster an environment where they can be still and pray.
