Teenagers are invited to join Southern Pines Parks & Recreation Department for the brand-new NC Zoo Trip for ages 12-17 on Saturday, June 20th, from 9:00AM-4:00PM. The North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro is the world’s largest natural habitat zoo, with over 2,800 acres. Get to see and learn about amazing natural neighbors ranging from elephants to otters throughout the Africa and North America regions.
The registration fee is $29 for residents and $40 for non-residents, and attendees should pack a lunch for picnicking or bring money to purchase food on-site. All trips depart from the Rec Center in Southern Pines located at 160 Memorial Park Court.
