SPPL’s local author festival, Pages of the Pines, is back and expanding for 2026! This year, the library is partnering with the Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities to bring you two amazing events to celebrate National Reading Month!

The community is invited to meet authors and illustrators of the Sandhills and surrounding area at the fifth annual Pages of the Pines, A Festival of Books Celebrating Local Authors. This is a great opportunity to support the work of local authors and ask them questions about their work. Pages of the Pines will host local authors for teens and young adults at the Southern Pines Public Library. The festival takes place at the Southern Pines Public Library on Saturday, March 21st 10am-2pm. Books will be available for purchase.

Children’s book authors will be found at Spring into Reading at the Weymouth Center from 10am until 12pm. Chat with local authors, learn more about their work, and support them by purchasing a signed book!
