Party for the Pine After Party 2026

Celebrating America’s Oldest Known Longleaf Pine! The Old Tree is turning 478 ~ Join the Celebration!
The Arts Council of Moore County is hosting the Party for the Pine After-Party on Saturday, April 18th, from 3:00PM-5:00PM at the Campbell House in Southern Pines. This free community event honors America’s oldest known longleaf pine, a 478-year-old giant located in Weymouth Woods, with an afternoon of live music and celebration.
Guests can enjoy performances by Guitars 4 Vets and the Longleaf Pine Band while sipping on beverages provided by James Creek Cider House and Southern Pines Brewing Company. The gathering is open to the public at 482 E. Connecticut Avenue and serves as a wonderful way to connect with local history and nature through the arts.
