Sandhills Quilters Guild Quilt Show

Sandhills Quilters Guild extends an open invitation to attend the biannual Quilt Show, Quilting in the Pines, on Friday and Saturday, 9/25 and 9/26, from 10 AM to 5 PM. The show will be held at the Historic Pinehurst Fair Barn, at 200 Beulah Hill Road South in Pinehurst. Admission is $8.00, with free admission for children under the age of 18.
Our event will feature over 125 stunning quilts that range from traditional hand quilted items to art quilts to modern quilts. These include quilts from a full range of sizes from miniature wall hangings to king size masterpieces and everything in between. Special displays will include quilts honoring our sesquicentennial, Quilts of Valor, and comfort quilts.
This year’s Quilt Show will feature a silent auction, including a Singer Featherweight, wines, a Bob Timberlake picture, and a Longaberger basket. A number of raffle baskets will provide chances to win loads of goodies for the kitchen, the sewing room, game night, the beach, knitting, the holidays, and more. Our guild boutique offers the opportunity to purchase a variety of quilts and other items handmade by guild members. We’ll have a vendor mall for additional shopping.
Money raised goes to support our mission, which includes donations of handmade quilts to nursing homes, children’s homes, and Habitat for Humanity, as well as outreach programs that teach the art of sewing and quilting.
We also have a scavenger hunt for kids and hands-on opportunities for attendees of all ages to learn about the quilting process and our guild.
We are fortunate to have Scott Murkin, a National Association of Certified Quilt Judges, and Susan Edmonson, a designer and award-winning quilter, judging our show.
Two food trucks will be on site both days: Blue Suede BBQ and Cookies & Moore.
