Join the Sanford Appearance Commission for a tree planting at Kiwanis Family Park to celebrate Arbor Day on Thursday, October 30th at 10:00am! The City of Sanford was recognized as a Tree City USA in 2014 and has maintained the designation every year since. To be recognized, cities must appoint a tree board or department, create a tree care ordinance, spend at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and participate in an Arbor Day celebration.
