SCC Classical Guitar Series: Kareem McCullough

Sandhills Community College is hosting the SCC Classical Guitar Series this fall, showcasing world-class musicians in live performances at the McPherson Theater. The fall lineup features classical guitarist and composer Kareem McCullough in October, followed by internationally acclaimed virtuoso and educator Dr. Adam Kossler in November.

Kareem McCullough (Wednesday, October 7th | 7:00PM-8:30PM | $31.18 including fees): An accomplished soloist, chamber musician, composer, and conductor who studied under renowned classical guitarists including Pepe Romero and Roland Dyens. McCullough has toured with the US Guitar Orchestra and directed string departments across public high schools and universities. His debut solo album, Under Quarantine, showcases his original compositions reflecting his personal journey through the 2020 pandemic.
Dr. Adam Kossler (Thursday, November 19th | 7:00PM-8:30PM | $36.89 including fees): An internationally acclaimed classical guitarist, award-winning competition soloist, and head of the guitar program at Appalachian State University’s Hayes School of Music. Renowned for his virtuoso technique and musicality, Kossler has released multiple solo and duo albums—including his Billboard top-ten classical chart recording with the Kossler Duo—and performs extensively across North America, Central America, and Asia.
