This historic Seaboard Railroad-themed 5K takes runners through downtown Hamlet and surrounding residential neighborhoods, with some rolling hills along the route. Since it falls on Halloween this year, the race has a fun seasonal twist—the top 350 finishers receive a custom Railroad/Halloween-themed finisher medal. RunSignup
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, along with awards three-deep in 10-year age groups. Even better, the event gives back to the community: proceeds and donations help fund three scholarships at Richmond Community College. RunSignup
Registration is currently $40 + signup fee for the in-person 5K, and registration closes October 28 at 11:59pm. A Virtual 5K option is also available for $65. RunSignup
