Streets Superintendent Archie Daniel and the Public Works team are inviting families to a special “Paint the Plow” event on Monday, December 29th, starting at 1:00pm. This unique experience allows children to decorate the Town’s snow plow with their own artwork, which they can then spot driving through Southern Pines later this winter. Beyond the painting, Archie and his team will provide a behind-the-scenes tour of the Public Works yard. This gives families a chance to see the heavy equipment up close and learn exactly how the team prepares to keep the community safe during winter storms.
