Support Group: Coping with Grief During the Holidays (Register One Week Prior to Session)

Fall & Winter Support Groups at FirstHealth Hospice FirstHealth Hospice is offering a variety of grief support groups and educational sessions throughout the fall and winter season to support individuals navigating the loss of a loved one. All groups are held at FirstHealth Hospice, located at 251 Campground Road in West End.
Specialty Educational Sessions-Sleep Loss During Grief
Learn about sleep hygiene and simple changes to help improve sleep quality following the loss of a loved one. Held October 15th from 10AM-11AM (Register by October 9th).
Nourishing Yourself After Loss
Gather tips from a registered dietitian and bereavement counselor on restoring normal eating habits after experiencing loss. Held November 12th from 10AM-11AM (Register by November 11th).
Coping with Grief During the Holidays
Explore coping strategies for navigating grief during the holiday season. Identical sessions are offered on November 13th from 10AM-11:30AM and December 4th from 10AM-11:30AM. Attendees are welcome to join either or both sessions (Register one week prior to the session).
Ongoing Grief Support Groups:
Grief Support Spouse Loss
A grief and educational support group for those whose spouse passed away within the last three years. Meets the second Tuesday of each month from 2PM-3PM.
General Grief Support
A grief and educational support group for anyone who has lost parents, relatives, siblings, or friends. Meets the first Tuesday of each month from 2PM-3PM.
Men Grieve, Too
A grief and educational support group specifically for men navigating loss. Held in the Hospice Chapel, meeting the first Wednesday of each month from 5PM-6PM.
