The Bennett Flatwoods Festival 2026

Celebrate community tradition at the 28th Annual Flatwoods Festival in downtown Bennett on Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th (held rain or shine)! Sponsored by the Tri-County Ruritan, proceeds from the festival support families in crisis across Chatham, Moore, and Randolph counties, as well as area high school scholarships.
New for 2026, the parade features an updated trophy program recognizing the Top 25 Cars, Top 25 Trucks, Top 25 Tractors, Top 10 Horses, and Top 15 Judges Choice, along with special parking for entries and car club registrations.
Friday, September 11th-Location: 55 East Raleigh St, Bennett
5:00PM: Food served by Tammy Brady & the Ruritan Club
7:00 PM: Old Fashioned Country Auction featuring pottery, antiques, cakes, toys, tools, and more
Saturday, September 12th-Location: Downtown Bennett / Chatham Street & 55 East Raleigh St
10:00 AM: Traditional Flatwoods Parade on Main Street featuring horses, antique cars, trucks, and tractors, plus food and craft vendors open downtown
11:00AM: BBQ & Chicken Plate Sales at 55 East Raleigh St (served by Tammy Brady & the Ruritan Club)
11:45AM: Live music by Hindsight Bluegrass
12:15PM: Line Dancing with “Some Kind Of Wonderful”
12:45PM: Flag Retirement Ceremony by Scout Troop 924
1:00PM: Live music continued with Hindsight Bluegrass
1:00PM: Free Pedal Tractor Pull for adults and children (registration opens at 12:00PM)
1:45PM: Parade Trophy Awards presentation
