2026 Pinehurst Barbecue Festival: ”Q”-School Grilling Class at Moore County Airport

The 2026 Pinehurst Barbecue Festival is a Celebration of Taste and Tradition, featuring seven of North Carolina’s most accomplished pitmasters in one of the most picturesque settings in the state. Presented by US. Foods, Pinehurst Resort, Visit Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen, Lin Hutaff’s Pinehurst Realty Group and Our State magazine, the three-day festival, staged in the Village of Pinehurst, offers a unique culinary experience of mouthwatering barbecue meats and traditional Southern sides.

Saturday, September 5, 2026: ”Q”-School Grilling Class at Moore County Airport, from 11:00AM-1:00PM: Pinehurst has played host to many a “Q School” in its day, but none quite like this. From 11:00am-1:00pm, “Q” School Grilling Class at the Moore County Airport will offer ticket holders the opportunity to experience cooking and grilling demonstrations with a range of meats on a variety of grills, led by Pitmaster Ron Simmons of Master Blend Family Farms in Kenansville. Sampling, under covered seating, will be provided following the class. A cash bar will be available. **No Children Under 12 Allowed at This Event** Children 12-17 Must be Accompanied by a Responsible Ticketed Adult. The cost is $77.89 (including a $2.89 fee).
