9/11 25th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony

The U.S. Army Airborne & Special Operations Museum Foundation invites the public to a morning of remembrance commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11th. The ceremony takes place on Friday, September 11th, starting at 8:30AM on the museum parade field in Fayetteville.
Event Schedule:
8:30AM – Ceremony Opening: Opening remarks, presentation of colors, invocation, and welcome.
8:46AM – Moment of Silence: A quiet tribute marking the exact time of the first World Trade Center impact.
8:50AM – Keynote & Tribute: Remarks honoring the sacrifice and service of the Airborne and Special Operations community throughout the Global War on Terrorism.
9:00AM – Field of Honor & Exhibit Access: Following the ceremony, guests are invited to walk through the 2026 Field of Honor—featuring hundreds of American flags—and tour the museum’s newly unveiled 9/11 focus exhibit.
Featured Speakers:
William J. Lehmann Jr.: Chief of U.S. Army Emergency Medical Services at Fort Bragg, 23-year FDNY Paramedic veteran, and survivor of the World Trade Center attacks.
LTG Gregory “Greg” K. Anderson: Commanding General and Senior Mission Commander of the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg.
