Wire Pasture Access Grand Opening at Lumber River State Park in Maxton

Celebrate the grand opening of the new Wire Pasture Access at Lumber River State Park on Friday, August 21st, from 10:00AM-1:00PM! Hosted in partnership by North Carolina State Parks, The Lumbee Tribe, Robeson County, and the Museum of the Southeast American Indian, this free event welcomes the community to explore the park’s newest addition.
Highlights include guided hikes, paddling opportunities, hands-on crafts, local vendors, and food trucks.
The event takes place at the Wire Pasture Access located at 11764 U.S. 74 Hwy W. in Maxton. Admission is free, and while RSVPs are not strictly required; however, organizers appreciate advance registration through the link below.
