What happens when an ordinary, unloved dining chair gets a little imagination, a lot of color, and a healthy dose of artistic freedom? It becomes a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art!

In this fun and playful workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of transforming a recycled dining room chair into a whimsical, expressionistic work of art for your home. Think bold colors, playful shapes, unexpected patterns, expressive brushwork, and plenty of room for your own personality to shine.

Forget trying to make it “perfect”—this class is all about letting go, having fun, and seeing the artistic possibilities hiding inside something that might otherwise be headed for the trash!

ARTworks has 6 recycled chairs available for students to transform:

• 4 traditional dining chairs without arms
• 2 dining chairs with arms

Everything is included, except lunch! You are welcome to use our refrigerator and microwave or you’ll have enough time to pick up lunch from a local eatery.

Your $99 class fee includes the chair, all painting materials, and plenty of guidance and encouragement. Just show up ready for some creativity, a few grins and giggles, and a whole lot of fun!

No art experience necessary! At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a functional piece of art that can become a conversation starter in your home—or a truly unique handmade gift.

• Children age 14 and older may attend class independently.
• Registration allows for one Guest per class project.
• Only Registered Guests may attend class.
